The internal complaints committee has been formed to handle the issues related to prevention, prohibition and redressal of sexual harassment of women employers and students in higher educational institutions.
The committee was established to safeguard female employers and students from sexual harassment inside the campus as well as to prevent and handle complaints of sexual harassment and other related or incidental issues.

Objectives

• To create awareness of the moral and legal issues of sexual harassment.
• To prohibit any physical, verbal or non-verbal sexual harassment.
• To ensure knowledge and awareness of the rights responsibilities and privileges granted to women.
• To take measures against any forms of gender based violence directed towards staff members and students.

Functions

• The internal complaints committee provides measures on women safety for teaching, non-teaching faculty and students.
• Anonymous complaints are received through suggestion box.
• The internal complaints committee prevents and prohibits incidents of sexual harassment of female employers and students in the college.
• Organises periodic activities in association with women empowerment cell.
• Provides an environment free of gender-based discrimination.
• Displays notice and poster to spread awareness about the issue of “Sexual Harassment”.
• Takes immediate action if any case of sexual harassment is noticed or reported.
• Maintains confidentiality throughout the process.
