The Staff Selection Committee is responsible for the recruitment and selection of staff
members. The key objectives and functions of the committee are

Objectives of the Staff Selection Committee:

  • The recruitment process is conducted in a fair, transparent and merit based, to ensure the most suitable candidates are selected for various positions.
  • To ensure that the selection process upholds the standards, values, and requirements of the organization.

Functions of the Staff Selection Committee:

  • To ensure that the recruitment and selection process complies with the University norms.
  • The committee is responsible for reviewing all applications and resumes to shortlist candidates based on predefined criteria.
  • Planning and conducting interviews with shortlisted candidates to assess their suitability for the role.
  • Based on the interviews and assessments, the committee makes recommendations for the final selection of candidates.
  • Ensuring that selection decisions are made collaboratively and reflect the collective judgment of the committee members.
  • Maintaining detailed records of the selection process, including candidate evaluations, interview notes, and decisions.
  • Providing reports to higher authorities or relevant stakeholders on the selection process, outcomes, and any issues encountered.
