PPG College of Education celebrated World Nature Conservation Day with enthusiasm and commitment to raising awareness on the importance of protecting our environment. The event was organized by Dr. J.R. Vinu, who coordinated the activities and ensured the program's success.

A debate competition was the highlight of the event, centered around the topic:
"Eyarkaiyai Padhukapathu Thanimanitha Olukkama? Arasangathin Kadamaya?"
(“Is protecting nature an individual responsibility or a duty of the government?”)

Two teams presented compelling arguments. Team A, which supported the view that nature conservation is a personal moral responsibility, included Bhuvaneshwari S, Harshini A, Shobana Karpagam, Kasthuri M, and Nivetha P. They emphasized how individual actions like reducing plastic use, saving water, and adopting sustainable habits can lead to meaningful environmental change.

On the other side, Team B argued that environmental protection is primarily the duty of the government. This team consisted of Preethi S, Shaza Abdul Salam, Suganya S, Prathiba S, and Sandhya H. They highlighted the need for strong environmental policies, legal enforcement, and government-led initiatives to ensure large-scale and lasting impact. The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants, organizers, and attendees.
