The Birth Anniversary of Mahakavi Subramania Bharathiyar was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 11.12.2025 at PPG College of Education. The programme was organized by Dr. J. R. Vinu and Mrs. S. Uma Maheswari to commemorate the life and contributions of the great poet and patriot.

The event began with an introduction highlighting the significance of Bharathiyar in Indian literature and the freedom movement. Students delivered speeches on the life history of Bharathiyar, emphasizing his role as a revolutionary poet and social reformer. They also spoke about his enthusiastic and energetic poems, which instilled a deep sense of patriotism, courage, and national pride among the people.

A quiz competition based on Bharathiyar’s life, works, and ideals was conducted, in which students participated actively and enthusiastically. The quiz enhanced students’ knowledge and encouraged them to learn more about the poet’s contributions.

The celebration concluded successfully with active participation from students and faculty members. The programme served as an inspiration to uphold Bharathiyar’s ideals of freedom, equality, and nationalism.
