National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of PPG College of Education organized a Neer Moor Pandhal (buttermilk distribution camp) as a social service initiative during the summer season. The programme was conducted under the guidance of the NSS Coordinator, Dr. G. Vinitha, Professor, with the active participation of NSS volunteers.
The main objective of this initiative was to provide relief to the public from the scorching summer heat and to promote the spirit of community service among students. The camp was set up in front of the college, ensuring easy access for pedestrians, travellers, and local residents. On the day of the event, volunteers enthusiastically prepared and distributed fresh buttermilk (neer moor) to a large number of people. Proper hygiene and cleanliness were maintained throughout the distribution process. The programme witnessed a positive response from the public, who appreciated the thoughtful effort taken by the NSS unit. It not only helped in quenching thirst during the hot weather but also strengthened the bond between the institution and the community.
Dr. G. Vinitha appreciated the dedication and teamwork of the volunteers and encouraged them to continue participating in such meaningful social service activities in the future. In conclusion, the Neer Moor Pandhal was a successful and impactful initiative that reflected the true spirit of NSS.
