On March 7, 2025, the PPG Group of Institutions, Saravanampatti, Coimbatore, hosted a magnificent celebration to mark International Women’s Day, honoring the spirit, strength, and achievements of women.
The event was graced by the esteemed Prof. Dr. Sudha Seshayyan, Vice Chairperson, Central Institute of Classical Tamil, who delivered a thought-provoking keynote address. Quoting Bharathiyar and echoing the ethos of empowerment, she emphasized that women are equal torchbearers of progress and excellence in every sphere of life.
Presiding over the function, Dr. L. P. Thangavelu, Chairman of PPG Group of Institutions, reaffirmed the institution’s unwavering commitment to fostering women’s education and leadership.
A vibrant series of cultural performances, including 18 dynamic dance presentations by students, added colour and energy to the occasion. The event also honoured exceptional women faculty members for their exemplary contributions to academia.
Adding further prestige to the celebration were Mrs. Shanthi Thangavelu, Secretary, and Mr. Akshay Thangavel, Vice Chairman, who extended their heartfelt greetings and appreciation to all women on this special day.
The celebration stood as a powerful testament to PPG’s vision of nurturing empowered, educated, and socially impactful women leaders of tomorrow.
