National Science Day was celebrated on 27.02.2026 by the B.Ed. students of our institution through an educational visit to Gedee Car and Science Museum . The visit was organized as part of Science Day activities to promote scientific awareness and technological understanding among future teachers. The programme was organized by Dr. S. Hemamalini, Assistant Professor in Physical Science. She made the necessary arrangements and guided the students throughout the visit. The main objective of the visit was to help student-teachers understand the scientific principles and technological developments behind automobile engineering.

            During the visit, the students explored various models of vintage and modern cars displayed in the museum. They learned about the evolution of automobile technology, engine mechanisms, fuel systems, safety features, and advancements in automobile design. The exhibits provided practical insight into concepts related to physics such as motion, force, energy, friction, and mechanics.

           Dr. S. Hemamalini explained how automobile technology is closely connected with scientific inventions and innovations. She emphasized the importance of relating scientific concepts to real-life applications while teaching in classrooms. The visit helped the students to understand how science and technology contribute to everyday life.

            The Science Day celebration through this educational visit was informative and engaging. It enhanced students’ scientific curiosity and encouraged them to adopt experiential learning methods in their future teaching profession. The programme concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from the students.
