PPG College of Education hosted an expert session titled “Empowering Future Educators: Unveiling the Power of Constitutional Literacy” on November 23, 2024, at the PPG Auditorium. The session, conducted by MJF Lion Advocate M. Madhivanan, a seasoned advocate and mediator, aimed to raise awareness among teacher trainees about the importance of constitutional literacy. Advocate Madhivanan emphasized the crucial role of educators in fostering democratic values, justice, and equality through a strong understanding of the Indian Constitution. He provided insights into the history of India’s freedom struggle, the Constitution framing process, and the significant contributions of its architects, particularly Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The session also encouraged future educators to integrate constitutional principles into their teaching practices, highlighting the significance of understanding both rights and responsibilities as citizens.
