The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Placement Cell of PPG College of Education organized a career guidance program for the second year B.Ed. and M.Ed. students, on the topic Navigating Career Horizons: Opportunities and Job Readiness for Educators, on December 14, 2024. The program aimed to prepare aspiring educators by exploring career opportunities and developing job readiness skills. The first session, Exploring Career Opportunities in Education and Counselling, was conducted by Ms. Arpudhamani R, Care Counsellor at Samarth Elderly Care, Coimbatore. She discussed the expanding career paths in education, counselling, and mental health, emphasizing roles beyond teaching, such as school counselling and educational research.The second session, Crafting a Resume: Essential Tips for Aspiring Student Teachers, was led by Mr. V. Balajishanmugan, Placement Director of PPG Group of Educational Institutions. He provided practical advice on creating tailored resumes for teaching careers, focusing on key components, customization for specific roles, and common mistakes to avoid. Participants also had the opportunity to draft resumes and receive personalized feedback.The event was well-received, with active participation from student teachers and faculty.
