The International Day of Yoga was celebrated with great enthusiasm and spirit at PPG College of Education on 21st June 2025. The event aimed to spread awareness about the significance of yoga in promoting physical and mental well-being among students and faculty.
The session was graciously led by Dr. G. Vinitha, Professor of Education. She began the session by addressing the gathering and highlighting the importance of yoga in daily life. Dr. Vinitha elaborated on how yoga helps in reducing stress, improving concentration, enhancing flexibility, and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
After the introduction, Dr. Vinitha led a practical session where she taught different yoga postures (Asanas) and breathing techniques (Pranayama). The session included basic stretching, Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation), and simple breathing exercises to help improve energy and calmness.
Faculty members, student-teachers, and non-teaching staff actively participated in the session and expressed their appreciation for the valuable insights and hands-on guidance. The event concluded with a collective meditation and a pledge to incorporate yoga into everyday life for better health and harmony.
