Introduction

The PPG college commemorated Kargil Vijay Diwas with great zeal and patriotism. The event aimed to honour the courage and sacrifice of the Indian soldiers who laid down their lives during the Kargil War in 1999. Faculty members, students, and staff gathered to pay homage and participated in various activities and organized to mark this event for the significance of the day.

Activities Conducted

• Poetry Recitation and Speech Competition: Students participated in a poetry recitation and speech competition observed around the theme of patriotism and the sacrifices made by the soldiers. The participants delivered passionate performances.
• Candle light Tribute was held in memory of the martyrs of the Kargil War. Students and faculty lit candles and observed a moment of silence to honour the fallen heroes. The atmosphere was holistic and reflective, as everyone paid their respects.

Conclusion

The Kargil Vijay Diwas celebration at PPG College of Education was a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by the Indian soldiers during the Kargil War. The events of the day not only honoured their memory but also inspired the students to value and uphold the ideals of courage, duty, and patriotism. The day concluded with a vote of thanks from the organizing committee, expressing gratitude to all participants and attendees for making the event a success.
